My time working alongside Ir. Ts. Dr. Bibi Sabrena Sakandar Khan on the Aerotrain project was an experience that reinforced an important lesson: delivering a major infrastructure project is never just about engineering, technology or contractual obligations. It is equally about people, leadership, stakeholder expectations and making difficult decisions under pressure.
Ir. Ts. Dr. Bibi got the entire team from client, consultants and contractors to see one vision to deliver the project.
Working with her has been engaging and rewarding because she is curious, ambitious and very particular about making well-informed decisions. A good example was exploring railway in an airport environment business in Malaysia, where she pushed beyond ordinary timeline for project completion. She values practical knowledge, high standards and long-term results, which makes working with her both challenging and meaningful.
She consistently challenged me to think beyond conventional solutions and focus on long-term value rather than quick wins. Her insistence on high standards and practical execution made a real difference in shaping stronger, more strategic ideas for the railway in an airport environment business.
